Maruyamazuka Tumulus

National Historic Site 72m in diameter / 11m in height

Maruyamazuka Tumulus was built in the mid Tumulus period and it is the largest round barrow in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Based on its size, its location and the period when it was built, it is thought to be the tomb of the successor of the person who was buried in Choshizuka Tumulus.
A number of grave goods were discovered in the stone burial chamber pit.
